@ChaoticRupture Apparently the disc colour (but not the disc’s LIGHT colour) matches the outfit being worn. Anytime you see Kevin Flynn wear black (jacket, hooded robe) the disc is similarly coloured to match.

When sam flynn first meets his father, you can see kevin’s identity disc is white, but at the end of the movie when he switches discs with quorra and clu notices …he watches quorra and you can see her with kevin’s identity disc but it’s black….so I just wanted to know if it was part of the movie or just a mistake or what? sorry for the lame ass question, but I didn’t watched the whole movie…
@chriscox I thought originally Mainstream wise it didn’t take off that well? Just over the years its got a quite big cult following etc. Although I could be wrong I’m no were near as old as the original.

If you notice carefully in this teaser and in the movie the headlights are different, and Kevin Flynn’s safe house was different, the Grid was smaller, and helmets are different.
I heard this was just a CGI test that they then decided to release as a teaser, while they took most of the designs here into the movie.
possibly my favorite movie.
